The past few weeks I have been torturing myself, necessarily and unnecessarily….
Necessarily >> grad school. Which I signed up for and should have known that it would be no walk in the park, but its stressful, and its hard.
But its okay, and I feel super empowered because of it.
Unnecessarily>> drama that I created. After reading numerous articles (and really great ones I might add that you should also read… especially http://markmanson.net/fuck-yes)
I have come to the conclusion.. gratitude is all we need.
In relationships, if we can just feel gratitude, we can let go of all the shit. We can let go of expectations, and let go of pressures to act and re-act how people expect us to , and let go of putting pressure on others to do the same, because we want it to be about us. If we just allow people to be who they are and feel how they feel, we would be helping ourselves much more than we can realize in each moment.
